A local foundation based out of Fulshear, Texas, The Heart of Texas Foundation provides assistance to incarcerated people in Texas and throughout America's prison system. Their goal is to bring about spiritual transformation to those who need it most. They do this by traveling to prisons to teach classes, hold discussions, and provide Bible-based counseling to the prisoners.
"When the heart changes in a person, everything changes. Most incarcerated people are parents, and their children are statistically doomed to follow them into prison. When the heart of an inmate parent changes, they take proactive steps to begin parenting like never before, and will make every attempt to prevent their son or daughter from following them into prison. That's what we want: new hearts for the parents, and new morality and freedom for the children."
